Current research reveals by a leading dermatologist Jeanette Graf that the following factors can contribute to or accelerate the skin's aging process.

SUN EXPOSURE - UV rays cause daily damage to skin from basic dryness to a high risk of melanoma and other skin cancers. the sun does not do the complexion any good.

SMOKING - Causes skin to prematurely wrinkle and droop by damaging the fibers that provide elasticity and support. it also decreases the flow of both blood and vital nutrients to the skin's surface, leaving it dry and crinkled-looking.

DIET - Pays a key factor. A high-fiber diet rich in antioxidants fruits and vegetables will result in a healthier and more radiant complexion.

SLEEP LOSS - Loss of sleep interrupts the phase of rejuvenation that occurs during slumber, leaving you with dark under-eye circles and a dry, flaky complexion.

As baby boomers turn 60, statistics show the U.S. market for anti-aging products and services is growing at a rate of 9.5 percent, reaching nearly $72 billion by the end of 2009.Science has made advancements in both topical and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.

Although natural Aging is a given and inevitable. Inherited through our genes, we can have some control over our Extrinsic Aging or at least slow it down.

Their are ancient indigenous people from various cultures around the world that eat red fruits to combat premature aging and maintain longevity.

ACAI, the jewel of the Amazon, is found in the tropical rainforest's of central and South America. these small precious berries are rich in antioxidants,phyto-nutrients,beneficial amino acids and other life-giving nutrients. ACAI is known to contain a remarkable concentration of antioxidants that HELP COMBAT PREMATURE AGING.

GOJI BERRIES, native to Asia, is possibly one of the world's greatest natural answers to anti-aging. In the Himalayan mountains, some of the world's oldest populations credit their LONGEVITY and HEALTH to a steady diet of Goji. The Goji berry contains amino acids, trace minerals, beta-carotene and vitamins thought to support healthy eyesight.

THE SICKENING Statistics OF A WESTERN SOCIETY - * 156 Americans per hour are diagnosed with cancer. * 90 percent of fungicides, 60 percent of herbicides and 30 percent of insecticides in use today are known to cause cancer, statistics from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says. * More than 60 percent of U.S. adult women are overweight, and over one-third of these women are obese, says Centres for disease Control and Prevention. * 90 percent of the money Americans spend on food goes toward processes foods. (Mercola.com). * The rate of new cases of diabetes has increased by about 90 percent in the United States over the past decade, says the American Diabetes Association.

Scientist, Weston A.Price traveled the world for nearly a decade comparing the health of populations eating a primitive whole-foods diet with those eating a highly processed, Western one. What he discovered was astounding. In the primitive populations, whether they were in Peru, the Congo or Switzerland, individuals were almost entirely free from dental decay, as well as from chronic diseases and mental illness.

THE 21 CENTURY EFFECT ON OUR DIETS - Commercial, non-organic farming methods have not only added dangerous chemicals to our diets, but dramatically reduced the nutrient content of our soils, and consequently our foods. Whereas traditional (and organic) farmers use natural fertilizers to support soil regeneration, today corporate farmers push soil to its limits, resulting in a deficiency in the dozens of nutrients humans need to thrive. An earth Summit report issued in 1992 revealed just how drastically our soil quality has been eroded. It estimated that 85 percent of nutrients were lost from crop soils in North America during the 20th century, and 76 percent were lost in Asia and South America. Scientists have discovered that some of the nutrients now missing from our soils are essentially vital for protecting and preventing disease.

THE 21ST CENTURY ATTITUDE SHIFT - People are taking a shift and starting to look at internal beauty as well as external beauty. Society, for example Athletes are making the vital connection between what they eat, how they feel and how much power they have. they come to recognize something that Erin Schrodinger, a Nobel prize-winning scientist from Austria, discovered more than half a century ago; "We as human beings have the ability to increase our aliveness by taking in high-quality, natural substances".

In modern society, humans are doing things which they were not originally intended to do. As a result we have now developed many disorders related to lifestyles & are ageing prematurely. I personally believe that proper breathing can keep prolonging our youth and vitality as well as improve the quality of our life. While various berries, plants & herbs serve as good supplements for our body, the human body has the power to heal itself from within through proper use of breathing techniques.
